6 GHz Wideband Sector Antennas

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas are scalar horn antennas designed to cover both 5 and 6 GHz unlicensed bands. They provide unique symmetrical beam radiation pattern and are equipped with the game-changing TwistPort™ waveguide connector.

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas are evolution of Symmetrical Horn TP Antennas providing multiple improvements and wide range of new key features.

Since their introduction in 2014, Symmetrical Horns solve major weak points of mainstream sector antenna technologies and provide excellent noise rejection, network scalability and throughput increase. Approved by over 100.000 field deployments, Symmetrical Horn Antennas have re-defined the sector antenna performance standards in FWA industry.

Covering Both 5 and 6 GHz Unlicensed Bands

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas provide more than 2,000 MHz wide band of operation covering whole 5 and 6 GHz unlicensed spectrum! Such a wide working band enables unmatched level of investment protection enabling Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas ready for upcoming new radio standards potentially requiring both 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands to be covered by one antenna.

Unique Beam Shape

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas provide a unique beam shape and beam characteristics. The beam cross-section is circular with identical azimuth and elevation radiation angles. The beam reminds one of a standard torch light.

Ultimate Beam Pattern Stability

The beam pattern does not vary with frequency and the antenna gain is balanced over the whole working frequency band covering more than 2.000 MHz (!) of spectrum. These features make Symmetrical Horns WB Antennas excellent sector antennas with stable and predictable beam performance across extremely wide band.

Virtually No Side Lobes

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas have Beam efficiency in range of 90-95%. It means, that they literally focus energy into one main signal beam. Such behavior saves the most important resource in wireless - the spectrum. Thanks to these unique radiating properties, the radio collects and propagates significantly less noise in comparison to mainstream sector antennas. Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas have naturally suppressed side lobes to the level that is practically invisible for radios operating in unlicensed bands. With virtually zero side lobes, Symmetrical Horn WB antennas provide excellent SNR which is essential to achieving high throughput.

Coverage Without Null

Mainstream sector antennas have a radiation pattern that is very wide in azimuth cut but very narrow in elevation cut. If an AP is placed too high, the customers that are too close will suffer from low AP signal. Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas provide equal elevation and azimuth beam width, which results in a different shape of the coverage pattern, that can be further improved by antenna down tilt. This is beneficial in scenarios where CPEs are close to an elevated AP, or in deployments in mountain areas.

Breakthrough Scalability

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas offer breakthrough scalability of wireless systems. Unique beam performance and great co-location characteristics allow for a higher density of sectors than a traditional sector technology.

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas come with precise radiation angles, including 30, 60 and 90 degrees, complementing Asymmetrical Horns and UltraHorn for a wide range of models suitable for any situation.

Co-Location Miracle

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas have naturally attenuated side lobes which makes them perfect for high density cluster sector installations with high co-location requirements.

Selection of beam angles allows for a wide range of deployment scenarios, covering high distance sectors as well as MicroPoPs.

Compact Size

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas are very compact and lightweight, with only 20-25% footprint of a traditional patch array sector antennas. This compact size saves tower rental fees, and makes it possible to install Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas in places where regular sectors would not be allowed due to their shape and size.

TwistPort™ Connector

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas feature our industry-changing TwistPort™ connector, a proprietary quick-locking waveguide port. TwistPort™ is virtually lossless: with radios built according to our Reference design, there are no coaxial RF connectors or RF cables that cause signal loss. TwistPort™ Adaptors (TPA) allow to connect third party radios. Connecting TwistPort™ is brilliantly simple - “twist and lock” - all done with one hand!

Cross-Platform Compatibility in 5 and 6 GHz

Asymmetrical Horn WB Antennas can be used with any radio with RF elements TwistPort™ 5 GHz or 6 GHz male interface, as well as with a variety of third-party radios connected through a 5 GHz or 6 GHz TwistPort Adaptor (TPA).

Easy Installation

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas come pre-assembled from the factory and ready for immediate deployment. The installation is very easy and requires only a single tool.

Robust and Durable

Symmetrical Horn WB Antennas are built to last and to resist any weather conditions. The major improvement vs previous generations is that we replaced aluminum diecast with pure aluminum to ensure superb durability in outdoor deployments even in the harshest environments. We use sheet metal aluminum that is formed using spinning, stamping and welding in highly innovative proprietary manufacturing process never used before in antenna industry.

Along the aluminum sheets we use extruded aluminum, corrosion resistant zinc alloy, high quality ABS plastic and high density polyethylene. We pioneered the use of stainless steel hardware in WISP industry. We use exclusively stainless steel hardware in all our products, We also pioneered the use of surface coating on stainless hardware to prevent galling - Symmetrical Horns WB are no exception.

New Bracket Features

New improved bracket design brings brand new features that address multiple requirements and make field deployment easy as pie.

Mounting to Different Pole Diameters

The bracket is designed for optimal grip on wide range of pole diameter. We recommend mounting on the largest possible pole diameter that fits the recommended range to achieve the best grip of the bracket. Reverse the bracket clamp to achieve the best possible bracket attachment on thinner tubes.

Easy Right / Left Side Flip

New improved bracket allows for easy flip for left side or right side of the pole installation. The side position of the bracket arm is locked, so the flipping is easy and safe. The process is very intuitive and there is no need to reverse radome.

Easy Mounting on Horizontal Tube

The bracket allows for easy mounting of the antenna on horizontal tube. Release the locking screw and turn the bracket arm to find the position that locks the bracket at 6 o clock, then secure the locking screw.

Switching to ± 45° Dual Slant

Because of Symmetrical Beam shape, switching from H+V to ± 45° Dual Slant can be done by mechanical rotation of the antenna. Simply release the locking screw and reset the antenna to corresponding position. You may have to flip the Right to Left (or vice versa) side of the mount at the same time. Both positions of + and - 45° are safely recognizable when rotating the bracket arm. Then lock the bracket screw and you are all set!

Three Different Radiation Angles

Symmetrical Horn WB offer three different radiation angles covering 30°, 60° and 90° beam width. They offer major preferred angular fractions of the circle helping network designers to create stable sectors using antennas with precise and predictable coverage patterns.
